Critical enabling projects were launched in 2023 to build infrastructure that will support the O’Hare Global Terminal, two new concourses and connecting tunnels that make up the centerpiece of the ORDNext program. Construction teams completed key enabling projects, including rerouting taxiways and service roads, improving stormwater management, and relocating and expanding critical utilities. Additional work included the Lower Concourse C Extension, which prepares the site for construction of the New Concourse D.
